Working with Dentsu in Osaka, Japan onedotzero has curated a series of works as part of a 'Creative Week' for the newly built Festival City development in downtown Osaka, Japan.
To launch the second new building a mini cultural festival is planned featuring artworks and wine.
onedotzero have curated an installation from Harvey & John: Thought Bubbles and a supporting exhibition containing a selection of Owen Davey’s work.
A mini conference will take place on the 24th, exploring the relationship between creativity and the city with speakers including Richard Harvey, Shane Walter and Japanese artist Kohei Nawa with work in the Conrad Hotel, chaired by Chieko Kinoshita.
The festival runs from 23rd June until 2nd July.
Festival City launched in 2017 in the Nakanoshima area of central Osaka with the aim of being a new cultural centre in the city. Incorporating two striking towers that house a music hall, art museum, Conrad Hotel complex and numerous shops and restaurants. It is also home to The Asahi Shimbun Company HQ with its neighbours including the National Museum of Art, Osaka Science Museum and the central public Library on an island located between the Dojima and Tosabori rivers.
