onedotzero: art x brand

we introduce installation artist Ruairi Glynn for the third in our latest series of talks examining the intersection of art and commerce.

The third in our latest series of talks examining the intersection of art and commerce, curated for Shoreditch House.

For this session, we introduce installation artist Ruairi Glynn as an example of an artist and academic whose work is pushing the boundaries of brand activation through research and practice.

His work particularly draws on the fields of architecture, psychophysics, cybernetics, robotics and performance and he often collaborates with leading design and engineering companies such as Arup, Buro Happold, Lego Research, Tellart, Nike and Marshmallow Laser Feast.

His work has been exhibited at Tate Modern, London, The Centre Pompidou, Paris & The National Art Museum of China, Beijing.

As Director of the Interactive Architecture Lab at Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, Ruairi leads what he describes as an 'anti-disciplinary studio' that focusses on creating new spaces of interaction between, people, objects and environments.

Ruairi's talk will focus on some of his commercial project including recent commissions for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as well as a recent collaboration with onedotzero producing a robotic data visualisation table for Twitter.

Please note, this event is exclusive to Shoreditch House members only.
Doors open at 18.45 for a 19.00pm start.
