The Paradiso Effect, Saam Farahmand

a onedotzero live commission

Taking the classic European film ‘Cinema Paradiso’ as inspiration, onedotzero commissioned visual artist and Partizan director Saam Farahmand [M.I.A, Clor, The Rapture] to delve into the film vaults to create a bespoke archive film and music performance.

This performance was an audio-visual bootleg rollercoaster that fused film, performance and fast cut visuals to build a new show for the ICA’s bar.

The project was originally commissioned as part of the Stella After Dark events and developed further for a London premiere at onedotzero9 in 2005.
