V+A friday late, transvision

Curating a series of installations for one night only at London's iconic V+A museum

onedotzero curated the V&A Friday Late Transvision in February 2006 as part of our tenth anniversary celebrations.

Having been given the keys to the museum for one night only, onedotzero invited 19 artists to respond to the V&A's collection and extract new meanings from their favourite objects.

The result was a series of magical interventions, live performances and moving image explorations weaved throughout the museum for visitors to discover, including the V&A’s first installation in the John Madejski garden – Monolith by United Visual Artists

These specially curated experiences brought together the very best of motion graphics, music videos, short films, interactive design, music and architecture.

Over 6,000 people attended in less than four hours making this a record breaking V&A Friday Late event.

transvision featured works from artists Airside, AllOfUs, D-Fuse, Dominic Hailstone, Ed Holdsworth, Hi-ReS!, Intro, Jason Bruges, Neutral, Marie O’Conner [Peepshow], Phillip O’Dwyer, Pre-Loaded, Saam Farahmand, Sennep, tank.tv, The Light Surgeons, Universal Everything, Usman Haque and United Visual Artists.
