a commission of three new shorts for sportswear giant asics

onedotzero secured an open brief by Asics to commission three films on the theme of running, all to be shown on public display during the 2008 Tokyo Marathon.

As sponsors of the event, Asics wanted the films to capture the spirit of the race and give a taste of the host city.

Following a small international call for treatments, onedotzero received responses from a very high quality selection of creative talent. The commissions were offered to Johnny Hardstaff, Seed Animation and PlusEtPlus whose three distinct styles produced a variety of work that caught the imagination of the client and agency alike and subsequently delighted the crowds.

The turnaround was very tight with the entire process taking just five weeks, but we made it!
